  • The narrator had to make a speech for her school, but she couldn't think of anything for days.
  • When the narrator finally wrote a speech, her mother loved it. When she showed it to her father, he was furious and ripped it apart because it was disobeying the teachers.
  • The narrator tries to write a new speech, but she was too upset about her father. The mother ended up writing most of the speech and correcting it.
