The Lord said to Noah 'Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you alone righteous before me in this generation. Noah was six hundred years when the flood of waters came on earth.
In the six-hundredth year of Noah's life that day all fountains of great deep burst forth, and the windows of heaven were open. The rain fell on the earth for forty days and forty nights. All that was on the face of the earth was blotted out, only Noah was left.
But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and all the domestic animals that were with him in the ark. And God made a wind blow over the earth, and the waters subsided. The fountains of the deep and the windows of the heavens were closed.
At the end of the forty days Noah opened the window of the ark that he made and sent out the raven; and it went to and fro until the waters dried up the earth.
Then he sent out the dove from him, to see if the waters had subsided from the face of the ground. But the dove found no place to set its foot , and it returned to him. He waited seven days and sent out the dove again and it came back. The last time Noah sent the dove out the ark he waited and it didn't come back
At the end of the six hundred and the first year the waters were dried up from the earth : and Noah removed the covering of the ark. everything that moves on the earth went out of the ark by families.
