The central idea of the article is about Kgomotso Modise writing this article about a flood in 2016 in Alexandra when a river overflew.
1. Alexandra was struck by a flood. Seven people have died. The government just moved seven families to a church.
2. residents have been found be force back to their houses after the flood, even though it is still dangerous to go back.
3. People said they don't trust the government anymore ,after they visited the year before and didn't help with food or shelter.
4. But, another news articles IOL news shows that on a Tuesday the president of Alexandra came over and promised to help the residents. And to help find a missing three year old named Everite Chauke
I know this because there is evidence including ,''It’s been six months since flash floods hit the township, killing seven people, including three-year-old Everlate Chauke.''
And,''The government had moved those affected by the floods to a nearby church where at least seven families are still living but say they have received no other help.''
More evidence that I have found is,“I don’t believe in the government anymore. They came here last time, but they can’t help with things like food where we are currently staying. The government is nothing to me.” After the floods happened.
