  • Act 1 Scene 1 
  • When shall we three meet again?
  • When the hurly-burly’s done, When the battle’s lost and won.
  • There to meet with Macbeth.
  • Act 1 Scene 2
  • This is the sergeant who like a good and hardy soldier fought 'Gainst my captivity.  
  • What bloody man is that?
  • DUNCAN
  • No more that thane of Cawdor shall deceive our bosom interest: go pronounce his present death. And with his former title greet Macbeth.
  • Macbeth defeated the Thane of Cawdor!
  • All hail, Macbeth, that shalt be king hereafter!
  • Act 1 Scene 3
  • All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, thane of Glamis!
  • All hail, Macbeth! Hail to thee, thane of Cawdor!
  •   MACBETH
  • wow I am going to be the King?!
  • Were such things here as we do speak about? 
  • At the beginning of the story, the Three Witches discussed the place and time they should meet Macbeth, and set the atmosphere of the story which is confusion and chaos. 
  • Act 1 Scene 3 
  • What, can the devil speak true?
  • He bade me, from him, call thee thane of Cawdor: In which addition, hail, most worthy thane, For it is thine.
  • King Duncan meets his son Malcolm and a wounded captain. As Duncan noticed that the Thane of Cawdor had betrayed him, he decided to give the title to Macbeth for his victories. 
  • Act 1 Scene 5
  • MALCOLM
  • Come, you spirits That tend on mortal thoughts, unsex me here, And fill me from the crown to the toe top-full Of direst cruelty.
  • CAPTAIN
  • The Three Witches met Macbeth and predicted that Macbeth would receive the title of the thane of Cawdor, as well as the King in the future. 
  • Act 1 Scene 7
  • We fail?  But screw your courage to the sticking-place, And we’ll not fail. 
  • I am settled, and bend up Each corporal agent to this terrible feat.
  • BANQUO
  • As Ross told Macbeth he would received the title of the Thane of Cawdor, Macbeth started to trust the prophecies from the Three Witches and felt ambitious to be the King of Scotland.
  • If chance will have me king, why, chance may crown me without my stir.
  • ROSS
  •  Lady Macbeth received the letter from Macbeth and heard the prophecies from the Three Witches. Then she had the idea of persuading Macbeth to murder King Duncan so Macbeth will be the King of Scotland. 
  • LADY MACBETH
  • Macbeth did not want to follow Lady Macbeth's plan at first. However, as Lady Macbeth said he was a coward of not doing it, he decided to act like a man and murder King Duncan.
