Artisans sold what they crafted to merchants and gave the weapons to the samurai. Artisans crafted furniture, weapons, jewellery and dinnerware .Merchants were the least respected people in feudal japan because they sold peoples hard work.
I have fixed your roof chonin you are welcome.
Thank you shjon now snow will not build up on my roof .
Samurai respected Artisan because they created weapons for the samurai and could be seen as a personal craftsman due to their loyalty. Artisans also crafted furniture, weapons, jewellery and dinnerware .
Due to my loyalty to a samurai i have been commissioned by the daimyo and now able to live next to the samurai.
Peasants were 3rd to last on the feudal japan ranking peasants produced rice and other foods. Peasants did not live comfortable lives and were mostly poor they lived on the Daiymos land. Artisan could use their money to buy food.
Artisans were well known for making the roofs that lasted very long. They prevented snow from building up on the roofs and were called "Irimoya" or "Yosemune." Artisans were a very helpful person in a town because they supplied the Chonin (townsperson) with euipment. Aswell as building structures and fixing items.
Thank you for assisting inside the daimyos castle.
More specific types of artisans included carpenters and coopers, carpenter who created barrels and cooper who cut wood. Even though merchants were valued the leaset, they were sometime allow to live by the samurai aswell.
Most poor people seeped on straw Shiki Buton (bottom mattress). Since I live a more comfortable life I sleep on a silk or fur matress placed on top of the straw.
