  • This is your own fault Charles. You should've listened to Parliament.
  • What are we going to do ? Cromwell's dead.
  • Why don't we restore the monarchy?
  • King James and King Charles believe that they rule because they were chosen by God. The kings refuse to listen to Parliament which causes tension  to rise between Parliament and the monarchy.
  • I've got to get out of here!
  • In 1642, supporters of the king and supporters of parliament faced against each other in  a civil war. Oliver Cromwell, who was the leader of the New Model Army, took over leadership of England after beheading King Charles and purging Parliament of non-supporters.
  • Presenting the King and Queen!
  • Cromwell set up a military dictatorship. After Cromwell's death in 1658, the army restored England's monarchy. Charles II was made king.
