Ruth was a middle-class child. With her Jewish parents she was living in the capital of Prague, where her father worked as a bank clerk. In 1933 Ruth was in her second year at a public girls' secondary school
Jews were no longer able to attend school. So Ruth stopped her education at 13 years old. Ruth had to give up many possessions like pets, instruments..etc She isn't allowed to walk in certain streets, parks , the cinemas. Ruth's normal life was at an end
Ruth was deported from Auschwitz from the ''ghettos'' in late 1944. A couple weeks later she was selected for a labor transport. She stood inline behind 1,000 women. She heard "Turn about!" She ended up being in the back with those who were getting gassed. By a twist of fate, the next day she was put on another labor transport.
