Slavery was viewed as extremely immoral in the North and the North's anger only grew when the Fugitive Slave act was passed and they had to be apart of slavery aswell. The compromise of 1850 was one of the crossing lines to start the havoc.
Slavery is wrong and immoral, I would die to put an end to it.

The South believed things were going good because of the advances in slavery but were very violent to people who apposed their beliefs.
Slavery is the way of the south and should be for the rest of this nation!
Soon the expansion of slavery to the West was the new issue. Especially in Kansas where it was decided by popular sovereignty. The Kansas Nebraska act nullified the Missouri Compromise and now slaver was allowed above the 36,30 parralel
The North believed in the complete abolition of slavery and that it should not be expanded west. They believed that people should work for there money and not force slaves to labor for them.
The South believed in a large scale expansion of slavery and making the rest of the good farmland into plantations.
Tensions continue to rise and the fight of free or slave America continues its violent path until civil war. Lots of this violence started to arise in the fight for Kansas. This is known as Bleeding Kansas
