  • William became King of England when he won the battle at Hastings. But, at the beginning of his reign, the England people couldn't accept William gladly because was a Normandy. At that time, England people were Anglo Saxons. Uprisings continued in almost all parts of the country. Then, during the reign of William there was a feudalism system.
  • William died when he fall over from the horse. He died at age 59 years old in Rouen, Normandy. Then, he was buried on September 9, 1083 in Caen, Normandy. He was succeeded by his son, William Rufus from England.
  • Finally, before William died, he told his son named Robert would succeed him as Duke of Normandy and his second son named William Rufus as The King of England.
