  • This is my library of Greek and Roman manuscripts.
  • Francesco Petrarch
  • Francesco  Petrarch was a Florentine early Renaissance humanist who lived during the 1300's. He was a poet that is argued to be the "father of Humanism".
  •  Francesco Petrarch assembled a library of Greek and Roman manuscripts. He also caused the works of Cicero, Homer, and Virgil to be exposed and introduced to Western Europeans. His "Sonnets to Laura", love poems influenced later writers. Petrarch demonstrates humanism by spreading knowledge of many artists works and influencing later generations to steer towards literary culture.
  •  Renaissance Humanism is participation in the support of literary artistic cultures, and involving in the creation of art that influences the literature aspects for other generations. I, Zachary Kazlouski, believe that Francesco Petrarch is a Humanist, and shows this very strongly by doing business in sharing large amounts of artwork. As a poet, Petrarch was very well educated on artistic cultures, and assembling a library to expose the culture along with its great pieces is the exact thing a completely humanist person would support.
