  • Allies Win, Camps Liberated
  • Oh my God, Are you all okay? We have to tell people what has happened here.  We can't let this happen again.
  • On January 30, 1933, Adolf Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany by President Paul von Hindenburg. Hitler was known for having a hatred for Jewish people, especially ones living in Germany.
  • Jewish people were taken from their homes and stripped of their belongings. They were moved to camps similar to prisons where they were to be executed by gas chambers.
  •  Germany surrendered on May 7th, 1945, meaning that the Allied forces had officially won the second World War. This led to the liberation of many of the Nazi concentration camps. The remains of some of the most notorious ones were to be found later.
