Megan has a mild fever, and can not go to the amusement park.
The Receptor is apart of the homostasis control mechanism,that lets your brian through the afferent pathway to the control center know that something has changed in your body

A few hours later Megan is feeling much better.
The Control Center is also apart of the homostasis control mechanism, that sends out the appropriate response through the efferent pathway to the effector.
Megan is feeling much better than before.
The Effector is the last step in the homeostasis control mechanism and it provides the means to response. For example when your body sweats when your sick.
Megan fever has gone backup, and can't go to the park still.
With negative feedback the stimulus can change and the body temperature can go up and down until homeostasis is balance again.
In the negative feedback the receptor, control center, effector process goes back in a loop. until the homeostasis is in balance again.
Megan is feeling better and can go to the amusement park
