Storyboard Text

  • Today we'll talk about the seasons. Please, divide the year into the four seasons.
  • Sam, can you tell me the names of the twelve months?
  • I don't agree with Sam. I like winter best. I can stand the cold. In winter I enjoy the snow and the white landscape.Besides, I can skate or ski in the mountains.
  • January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December.
  • Spring, summer, autumn, winter.
  • Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
  • 365
  • What are the names of the days of the week?
  • How many days are there in a year?
  • Which season do you like best?
  • Can you say why?
  • I like summer best.
  • One reason is that in summer the weather is hot and dry. The days are longer and the nights are shorter than spring, autumn or winter. The sun rises earlier and sets later. I can enjoy swimming, eating ice- cream and taking a sun-bath. In my opinion, summer is the best season.
  • I prefer spring to winter and summer. Everything turns green in spring. The birds sing. The weather becomes warmer, but not too hot.
  • Does anybody like autumn best?... Nobody? Why not?
  • In autumn the weather is often stormy, cold and rainy. Most of the time you need an umbrella.
  • But not in my home country, sir.
  • No? Where are you from?
  • Yes, indeed. Well, I think, we should stop our discussion on the seasons at this point. It was quite interesting for me to hear your opinions.
  • From Australia. And your autumn is our springtime.
