Bryon talked Mark out of doing something illegal. Mark was trying to hotwire a car, and Bryon said they should walk instead. Bryon is saving Mark from the punishment he might get from hotwiring a car that doesn’t belong to him.

Mark is getting revenge because Angela almost had him killed. Mark’s rules aren't right but his reason is by getting revenge. Mark is jeopardizing his and his friend’s life by cutting a girl’s hair who has overprotective brothers that’ll win all her fights.

Mark is thinking about living with Bryon because his parents are now dead. Bryon and his family were willing to take him in. Mark and Bryon had a better friendship and a start of a brotherhood.
Bryon found some drugs under Mark's bed and called the police. He called the police because he felt like he had something to do with M&Ms situation. Bryon felt like it was the right thing to do since Mark always gets off free for the things he does. He had to learn one way or another.
Mark felt like he was above the law. He felt like selling drugs were more important than obeying the law.
Throughout the story, Mark and Bryon are different in multiple ways. Bryon was growing into a mature man, and Mark still had his immature ways. In spite of their differences, they were the best of brothers and nothing could come between them. Then, Bryon changed both of their lives by turning his friend/brother in for his wrong doings.
