  • Setting: home a man sits sleepily in his chair. At midnight on a bleak December day.
  • Rising action
  • Climax
  • The man dozes in his chair.
  • Falling action
  • Suddenly he hears a knocking,tapping at his chamber door. He soon finds out it is a raven and not his Love, Lenore.
  • Resolution
  • After a long conversation with the bird the speaker asks if he will ever see Lenore again and the Raven replies 'nevermore'.
  • Theme
  • Angry with the bird's answer. The speaker kicks him out.
  • The man will forever be haunted by his overwhelming grief for the loss of his love Lenore.
  • A person who live on grief is the cause of his own mental suffering.
  • The End
