Photosynthesis is the process by which plants create energy-rich food molecules using sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water. Sunlight 6 CO2 + 6 H20 ------------> C6H12O6 + 6 O2
The two main stages of photosynthesis are the light-dependent reactions and the Calvin cycle (light-independent reactions).
