Storyboard Text

  • So to start the Roman empire falls...This is followed by great change for the region:1.Germanic Tribes2. Reorganized social, political and cultural composition
  • Many of these tribes rose to prominence and held great leading positions but the greatest change one could say is the introduction and dispersal of Christianity. This helped to oversee a pronounced social hierarchy and land system come into play later.
  • One influential tribe was that of the Franks which was later cemented by the crowning of Charlemagne which resulted in the Carolingian Dynasty. This dynasty saw more cultural forms taking shape and a further endorsement of Christianity and the role of the church in society. After the fall of the Carolingian Dynasty which was cut short by Barbaric invasions, Europe later saw a more pronounced social hierarchy and land system come into play (feudalism) and a widespread revival of culture.
