  • With Max hiding in her basement,Liesel was always worried. She worried they would find him and kill him and her family.
  • Climax-
  • "There was something blank and rectangular lodged in the snow. Only the girl saw it. She bent down and picked it up and held it firmly in her fingers. The book had silver writing on it." This is where it all started for Liesel.
  • Falling Action-
  • ":Books everywhere! Each wall was armed with overcrowded yet immaculate shelving." The mayor wife, who had witnessed her thievery, was gifting her with moments she would never forget.
  • Resolution-
  • "Do you still play the accordion?" These were among the first words the jew ever said to Hans. The words were really Max asking Hans if he would help him. Hans and Rosa decided to keep good on his word and help Max. To do this Liesel would have to understand she could not tell anyone.
  • "Don't die, she whispered, please Max just don't die." Max became sick and fell into a coma. Liesel blamed herself because she was the one to suggest they build a snowman in the basement. She read to him and brought him presents everyday.
  • " Papa was a man with silver eyes, not dead ones. Papa was an accordion! But his bellows were all empty. Nothing went in and nothing came out."After the bomb hit Himmel street and Liesel was found alive she screamed. She ran and cried in distress. It was a sad day, She lost her family, her only friend and her home on heaven street.
