It had been almost months after the incident with Proud. Yet Zenita was still in fear of the shutter sounds. What happened?
In this case, the sound of the shutter was the cause of the anxiety attacks to begin.
Zenita then developed a fear of the shutter given the situation she was in.
According to the DSM, anxiety disorders includes the following symptoms: Accelerated heart rate, sweating, trembling or shaking, and in her case, exaggerated responses to minor surprises or being startled.
The DSM states that anxiety disorders can remain as long as 6 months to years depending on how much effect it has had on a person.
Anxiety may occur at any time when the person least expects it.
Several forms of treatments are available. Depending, may take longer or sometimes faster for others.
