Oedipus killed his unknown father, King Laius, after he pushed him for not moving out of his way on a a path with his club.
King Laius and Oedipus meet face to face after many years, unknowing of their father/son relationship.
After being pushed by Laius, Oedipus retaliates by hitting him with his club and, unknowingly, kills his father with the powerful blow.
