The manager of the project briefs the employees about the project they will be working on. The manager explains that Workplace and Asana will be used to improve communication and allow employees to collaboration more effectively.
The manager has an option of creating an open or closed group within Workplace. When a manager creates a closed group, only those who are invited are permitted will be able to see the content within the group. In this instance, the manager creates a closed group and invites the specific employees by entering their name and email address.
Using Asana, the manager can assign tasks to each employee and attach files required for that task. These files will only be visible by those who are assigned to the task, improving security.
Once the tools are set up, each employee has access to many functions to improve communication and enhance collaboration. One of these features are the integrated group video and voice call functionalities available on Workplace. The employees can make use of this feature to organise meetings with co-workers as well as clients and suppliers.
Employees can also find expertise within the company by using the search function. Workplace uses a profiling system, which provides details of each user. Using the search bar, employees can filter through the employees within the organisation and find specific people who can aid them with a task. They can then contact them using the chat functionality available.
