I have decided to go back to the south through the underground railroad and help free other slaves.
But you just got here, you could get caught if your aren't careful.
I know, Don't worry, I'll be fine, I have to help these people, I will leave tonight. Thank you for everything.
You seem to have made up your mind, I wish you safe travels, May God be with you. Good bye
So Harriet Tubman went from house to house sometimes hiding in barns or shacks and she slowly made her way down to the south though the underground railroad. moving only at night so she wouldn't be caught.
Finally she made it to her old plantation and she waited in the fields until it was dark enough to go and save the rest of her family. She couldn't wait to see them all again, but she knew she had to wait if she didn't want to get caught.
She finally was reunited with her brothers but she knew they had be the be fast, so she got their attention quietly and quickly told them her plan.
After what felt like way too long they were ready and headed on their way back through the underground railroad. Unfortunately , her brothers got scared after a reward was put up from them they returned to enslavement. Harriet Tubman continued to travel back and forth from the North and South to help rescue slaves. Overall she saved 300 slaves from imprisonment.
