PDHPE Year 8 Task 1

Storyboard Text

  • Toxic friends encourage you to do things that are harmful, or that you don't want to. It's important to prioritise your safety, so extract yourselves from situations like these, or tell an adult.
  • What? Are you scared?
  • Just do it already!
  • Yeah he probably is... I'm not surprised.
  • You never have to do something, just because they want you to. Never do something that makes you uncomfortable, or that you aren't sure about.
  • I dare you to jump down.
  • Ahahaha! Okay... well? Jump already.
  • In serious cases, peer pressure can lead to irreversible physical, mental and social damage. A real life example - When Sam Ballard was 19, he was dared to eat a slug by his friends. He was infected with rat lungworm and unfortunately, became paralysed for life.
  • What do we wanna watch?
  • Sounds good!
  • In a positive friendship, everyone should have a good time. No one should be the butt of the jokes or target.
  • Vampire Diaries!
  • Friends should not only be honest, but understanding of each-others' lifestyles and timetables.
  • I'm so sorry... I can't come. I have so much homework to do today!
  • Oh no... Okay then. Good luck getting it all done!
