Julius Caesar returned from a battle with a former general. he is pleased, and the towns people are celebrating his victory. not all the citizens are happy with Caesar, the are afraid of him and think that he will become a tyrant.
a party of senators have turned against Julius and choose Brutus, one of Julius' acquaintances, to join a conspiracy against him.
Brutus is deciding whether or not he should trust Julius. he then joins the conspiracy because he is afraid what Julius can become, if he is made ruler.
the conspiracy lure Julius into the city and proceed to take away his life.
Brutus asks Antony to support his actions by talking to the crowd. Antony is forced to stand with the conspiracy but he causes a riot making the conspiracy leave the city.
