Storyboard Text

  • 'Sup!
  • HELP! I'M STUCK!!
  • *tug tug*
  • SIX HOURS LATER
  • SIX HOURS LATER
  • What's wrong with my neck?
  • Yes! I'm free!!!
  • A very, very long time ago, giraffes had short necks.
  • Hi, I'm back!
  • Eww!! What's wrong with you?
  • I'm so glad you're home!
  • One baby giraffe wandered off, and got his head stuck in a hole while trying to reach some juicy twigs!
  • *blub blub* Ahh! We're drowning!
  • Thank you so much for saving me!
  • We made it!!
  • After a whopping six hours of pulling as hard as he could, he finally freed his head, but, to his dismay, he found that his neck had been tremendously stretched out!
  • 500 years later
  • The giraffe, with his long neck, returned to his tribe, where he was mercilessly ridiculed by his short-necked comrades.
  • Gross! You're so weird! Get away!
  • A few days later, a huge flood swept through the savanna. The giraffes were all washed away, except for the long-necked giraffe and the one female he was able to save.
  • 500 years after the flood, there were no short-necked giraffes to speak of.  Long-necked giraffes dominated, and became well-known to mankind. THAT is why giraffes have long necks!
