The nitrogen cycle
NItrogen is everywhere. Our atmosphere has 78% Nitrogen and 21% Oxygen. The 1% left is all the other things things in the atmosphere.
This little dot is a nitrogen molycule and it floats around untill it goes into a plant.
in the roots of the plants the nitrogen gets turned into ammonia by Rhizobium bacterium in the plant roots.
Then other bacteria turn the ammonia in nitrites and then nitrates.
It can also become usable if it gets it by lightning. When it does it gets destroyed and releases nitrogenus compunds
On of these compunds is ammonia.
