  • Before the revolution, France was depleted of resources. Citizens were hungry and impoverished, but nobles lived lavishly. The country was in dept and needed saving.
  • When did the French Monarchy start to become seriously ineffective?

  • King Louis XVI and Queen Marie-Antoinette had just gotten into power. They were young and incompetent leaders. Marie-Antoinette was obsessed with vanity and fashion, and King Louis XVI was indecisive and not prepared for the problems he had inherited.
  • Should Marie-Antoinette and King Louis XVI be thought of as responsible for their incompetency as leaders?
  • Can we go shopping again? PLEASE?
  • I have no idea what I'm doing
  • The people were becoming restless and angry at the difference of wealth and power between the high class and low class citizens. A few stood out as people that wanted to speak against the unfairness. Many in the society were ready to combat the incongruity of the system.
  • Was living in France worse before or after the Revolution?
