Hello everybody! My name is Super-Thy!. I am a thyroid gland. Not to brag or anything but I am a vital hormone. I know you're probably wondering why I'm important. Today I will be teaching you about myself, my functions and why I'm a vital hormone.
Unfortunately, I cannot show you how I look because if I do, my powers will fade.
Before I get to the fun part, it's important to know where I am located in your body.
I am located in your neck. I lie below your Adam's apple, along with the front of the windpipe. I have two side lobes that are connected by a bridge. Although I am very powerful, I also feel week at times. For example, I get enlarged and form a goiter when there are high levels of TCH.
Now that you know where I am located, let me properly define myself. I am a gland that makes and stores hormones that help regulate heart rate, blood pressure, body temperature, and the rate at which food is converted into energy.
I also want to tell you about my functions. I play a major role in involving metabolism as well as the growth and development of the human body.
I have told you about my location, who I am, and my functions. I utilize my powers every day to help influence the function of many of the body’s most important organs. I hope you found the information I provide usefully. I will send my other super-buddies so that they can also teach about themselves. Until next time.
