Storyboard Text

  • Yep. There are definiteley lung cancer cells.
  • Lung cancer develops when normal lung cells change, or mutate, in a way that alters their natural growth and death cycle, resulting in unregulated cell division that produces too many cells. The rapidly dividing cells do not carry out the functions of normal lung cells or develop into healthy lung tissue.
  • Lung cancer begins in the lungs and may spread to lymph nodes or other organs in the body, such as the brain.Overall, the chance for a woman to get lung cancer, the risk is about 1 in 17. These numbers include both people who smoke and those who don't smoke. For people who smoke the risk is much higher, so it makes sense that Sarah has it.
  • I really hate to tell you this but Sarah has lung cancer. On the bright side she does not seem to care that much she just wants to see whoever Chad is.
  • THAT'S TERRIBLE!! What can we do to help it?
  • People with non-small cell lung cancer like Sarah can be treated with surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted therapy, or a combination of these treatments. It can also further be prevented by Sarah quitting smoking.
  • Okay. Thank you.
  • All done! Let's go see Chad!!!!
  • And don't forget to make an appointment for surgery and STOP SMOKING.
