  • A tenement is a small apartment with little to no sanitation or safety. They are made up of 3 rooms, a kitchen, a room, and a bedroom shared among multiple families.
  • Rural
  • Gated communities are a neighborhood fenced inside. Gated communities limit who and what can enter the residential area. Gated communities are made as a safety precaution and even for people who want privacy.
  • Gentrification
  • Greenbelts are made to preserve a natural environment that prohibits anything that will take up the land. Greenbelts are commonly made up of parks and agriculture. Greenbelts tend to have pathways for running, walking, and bicycling. A popular Greenbelt is New York's Central Park.
  • Central Business District
  • A rural area has a large piece of land that is used for growing crops. Living in a rural area means that one lives in a village, hamlet, farm, or even an isolated house then living in a city. These people usually grow their own crops.
  • Gentrification is the action of improving the architecture in an area.By giving an area a valued design, it attracts more people into businesses. Though, it may be a good investment for businesses, the people that used to live in the area are now forced to move due to the sudden rise in value.
  • This new bakery they built adds such a nice look to the new and improved neighborhood

  • Central Business districts are a heavily populated location filled with many different types of businesses including shops, retail, restaurants, offices, and much more. In a Central Business area, you will most likely see many huge, tall buildings, and skyscrapers. An example of a Central Business District is downtown Manhattan, New York.
