- After a long debate with her family, Diana was told it would be best for her to continue studying in the UK, more specifically in the city of London, rather than in Ireland, her home country.

- When Diana arrived, it was raining but thankfully, her grandma’s apartment was not too far from the bus stop. Diana was a bit scared walking off the bus stop, however, because she knew the city was dangerous at night.

- The next morning, Diana saw a few girls filming a few videos, complimenting one another, and laughing. She wanted to join in but they ended up making fun of her accent and her outfit. They called her, “basic”…
- I wish I could follow cool trends too…
- Oh my god Jane I love your new hair!
- It’s super cute!
- Thank you so much! I saw some influencer split her hair dye and I wanted to follow the trend!

- It was hard enough for her to even go to school due to her family’s low income and housing in Ireland being incredibly expensive. Diana’s parents decided she should move in with her grandmother in the UK.
- Glida: 5
- Her grandma had been waiting outside the apartment with an umbrella, a smile, and open arms! Diana was extremely tired from her trip so the second she went inside, she rushed to bed as tomorrow, it would be her first day at her new school!
- But when Diana arrived at school the next day, she found that the group of girls didn’t want her in the group anyways…
- Did you really think that you could try to fit it with us?

- Diana ran to the library to save herself the embarrassment. A few bystanders from earlier had decided to follow her…
- Hey my name is Ivy… this is Bella and Amy. We wanted to say we’re sorry for how those girls treated you.
- Don’t worry about them. Really.
- Don’t let them take away what you love. Just because they didn’t like something about you doesn’t mean that you should change yourself to fit in.

- The second she got home, all Diana wanted to do was make entertainment videos as well. She wanted to fit in with other girls so she also followed one of their outfits.
- And they’re right! I moved into the United Kingdom for a better life. I shouldn’t lose who I am just because I want to fit in. There will always be a different crowd that will be there to accept me.

- And so, although migration did end up savingDiana from the poverty she was living in, it did cause her to try and change who she was. Thankfully, Diana had support to make her realize there is no reason for her to change who she is or her background.
