- "He wore shorts blue line shorts that buttoned to his shirt, his hair was snow white and stuck to his head like duckfluff..." (Lee 7). He is 7 years old. Jem thought that he was 4 because of his height.
- "Dill had seen Dracula, a revelation that moved Jem to eye him with the beginning of respect"(Lee 7). Dill likes to watch horror movies.
- "... his mother worked for a photographer in Meridian, had entered his picture in a Beautiful Child contest and won five dollars. She gave the money to Dill, who went to the picture show twenty times" (Lee 7). Knowing that Dill had been know for being handsome and winning some money.
