If natives practice the ghost dance,bye bye white men and happy life
I have to tell the tribes about this
This promise deeply resonated with tons of tribes that had suffered the loss of land, Culture, and traditions

This vision gave natives hope about their future so they practiced the Ghost dance
Yes the bison will come back and golden age of Native American will return

Little did they know that this would anger the U.S.
The dance was a way of grievance, they longed for their past. The dance was a way of rejecting political order of the U.S.

December 1890, U.S. soilders fearful of an uprising intercepted a ghost dance by the LakotaDancers
They saw their peaceful practice of the ghost dance as a sign of rebellion fearing the Native Americans would take over
This is a sign of rebellion
They are preparing for war with their “bullet proof” ghost shirts

The situation escalated quickly and turned violent which caused the death of 150-300 Native Americans
