- During the American Revolution, some women converted their houses into hospitals, where they tended to diseased or injured soldiers.
- Your medicine is ready.
- When their husbands left to fight in the war, many women took on their spouses´ occupations. In this example, Esther hammers a knife into shape.
- Some women aided the male soldiers on the front. A few even took up arms and fought! One such woman, Deborah Sampson, eliminated a group of pillaging Native Americans.
