- Peter and Biko are travelling to the Black Students Organization meeting.
- They encountered a police car on the way that stopped them and asked them for their corresponding papers.
- The policeman recognized Biko and arrested him for no reason at all.
- They took him to jail, where he was threatened the absolute worst.
- One day, police officers beat him up and tortured him till he was no longer conscious.
- Days after he was reported as dead. The officials told everyone else that he died because of starvation.
