Nick is encouraging the other kids to use his new word
Then while Nick’s parents listened, Mrs. Chatham laid out the story as she saw it
Mrs. Chatham Is the principal and she is coming to Nick's house to talk with Nick's parents about the situation at school
“But doesn’t all this seem like a lot of fuss about something pretty silly?
She shookhands stiffly with both of Nick’s parents before sitting down on the chair to the left

Then while Nick’s parents listened, Mrs. Chatham laid out the story as she saw it nick's dad was listening and frowning but his mom looked kind of annoyed
Nick couldn't figure out if his mom and principal were fighting or talking even Nick's DAD looked confused!
Mrs. Chatham didn’t stay much longer. There was a little more talk back and forthacross the chessboard about how children have a right to explore new ideas, about theimportance of respecting teachers.
Mrs. Chatham thanked Nick's parents and they thanked her and then Mrs. Chatham left.
