- Come with me
- One day Persephone was playing alone in a field of flowers.
- Then the earth cracked open and out came hades the god of the underworld and kidnaped Persephone and taken her to be his wife.
- Crunch
- When Persephone didn't come home her mother Demeter began to worry she searched everywhere for her she turned the earth cold and brown because she was sad.
- Demeter went to talk to Zeus the king of all gods and told him that Hades had taken her daughter and demanded to let her go.
- But Hades could not let her go because she ate pomegranate seeds when she was in the underworld and the rules are that if you eat them you must stay down there for however many seeds you ate.
- Then Zeus made an arrangement that Persephone could spend half the year with Hades and the other half with her mom Demeter.
