- Mae was sitting in the constables jail waiting. She knew Tuck, Jesse, and Miles would come and rescue her.
- Mae heard a rattle in the Jail window and saw Tuck, Jesse, and Miles. Miles was busy opening the window. Then Mae climbed through the window and Winnie climbed through the window when Mae came out.
- Mae said thank you to Winnie and left. Winnie hid under the blanket and tried to look big. She was scared that if she fell asleep that she might kick the blanket off of her.
