- Dr. Shariq and Yazmin schedule an appointment one week afterward to run some more specific PD tests.
- PD Diagnosis
- Dr. Shariq also asks her to take specific notes every day about any unusual muscle movements she notices.
- Yasmin Goes Home
- The following week Yazmin meets with Dr. Shariq to review her daily notes, run the NeuroStroll test again, and perform a series of smell tests that indicate PD.
- As a result of their discussions and the tests, Dr. Shariq diagnoses Yazmin with PD and provides her with a treatment plan to slow the disease, starting with the common PD drug Levodopa.
- Yazmin takes her NeuroStroll and other test results home, shares the news and explanation with her family, and begins a new phase of her life clearly understanding her condition.
