- In Lebanon, if you wished someone a good weekend, the common answer was 'I hope so'.
- To the Lebanese, fate seems to be an essential element in any plans for the future. To be absolutely certain about the future would seem arrogant.
- I used to think that everyone interprets words in exactly the same way.Now I think that my culture shapes the way I use language to express myself. In turn, the words I use can also change and influence my world view.
