Hi! I'm Isabel I am coming back to my home, in America from visiting my old home, in Cuba to see my papi!
Hi! my name is Josef. I'm coming to America because, I got the papers to leave Germany.

I left Cuba so my family and I could be free. The leader of Cuba had very harsh restrictions with limited food.
In Germany there was very bad war because the leader of Germany didn't like Jewish people, and started punishing and killing most Jews.
What happened to make you want to move from Germany?

That is horrible! We both had poor leaders. Did anything else push you away from your home?
Yes! I had went on a ship when I was younger to get away, but we couldn't get into Cuba. They turned our ship around and took us to Europe! Then Germany invaded Europe so I knew I needed to get away and here I am.Do you have reasons why you left Cuba?
That sounds like a very long journey! I'm hoping for my life to pull together when I get to America!
My dad wanted to have more freedom, and my mom was pregnant. We took a boat we made with our neighbors and traveled the ocean for awhile,and we had set backs. The coast guard almost caught us so my Papi jumped out! We then made it into America, and our lives have been better since!
