  • This skit shows Macbeth hearing the witchestes prophecy for the first time. This was the key to the start of his madness as it was the scene that he knew he had to kill the king to be the true leader, which is not a sane person would be thinking of

  • After creating his plan to kill King Duncan, Macbeth starts to hallucinate daggers in his hands, which drives him to see the plan go into action, making him eager to fill the prophecy .

  • Macbeth has put his plan into action, taking the life of the King and two other guards during the process. Which later makes him king
  • Act 5 Scene 3
  • "Till Birnam wood remove to Dunsinane, I cannot taint with fear. What's the boy Malcolm Was he not born of woman? The spirits that know All mortal consequences have pronounced me thus: 'Fear not, Macbeth; no man that's born of womanShall e'er have power upon thee.'   • After the murder of the king, Macbeth starts to feel a sense of guilt. Overtime guilt can later turn into stress, anxiety, and mental problems. Adding fuel into Macbeth's descent into madness
  • "Still it cried 'Sleep no more!' to all the house: 'Glamis hath murder'd sleep, and therefore Cawdor Shall sleep no more; Macbeth shall sleep no more.'(Shakespeare 40)

  • Macbeth Knows that Banquo will have children which will become kings, so he must take him out of the picture.After his death, Macbeth starts to hallucinate a dead Banquo around him, makeing him go insane

  • "Prithee, see there! Behold! Look! Lo! How say you? Why, what care I? If thou canst nod, speak too. If charnel houses and our graves must send Those that we bury back, our monuments Shall be the maws of kites"(Shakespeare 52)
  • After one goes into madness, one starts to feel superior. Macbeth states that no man birth from a woman is able to kill him, menaing he will forever live untill he goes the way he wants to.
