- I really put that ball out of inertia
- WHAT?? what is inertia?
- Ah cool
- inertia is when an object is basically at rest, and then wait for a force to make it move
- That sounds a little like Newtons first law of motion
- That is exactly right, Newtons first law talks about inertia and how an object will only move if a force acts on it
- RIGHT! How could I forget, An object at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon
- Yup that's right, just like when you kicked the soccer ball
- Another example is me opening the door, with a little force I'll change its position
