Storyboard Text

  • Organizer
  • BAN BRITISH GOODS!! BAN BRITISH GOODS!!
  • Nurse
  • We've got another one so let's move, move move!
  • Spy
  • ....we will surprise the Washington's troops and they will never see it coming.
  • Oh yes they will! I shall report this back to the troops
  • Just like the men, the women were equally important. They too had jobs that would benefit both them and the soldiers fighting for the colonies. Some of them were even organizers or people who would organize protest. One protest was against British goods and was led by Penelope Baker.
  • Some of the women even "transformed their home into hospitals" for the wounded soldiers. So, some of the women were nurses. Margaret Hill Morris was a caretaker who helped soldiers that were wounded.
  • Another job that the women would do was become a spy such as Lydia Darragh. This was important for the American soldiers because they were able to find out some of the strategies that the British were planning when fighting the American soldiers.
