- Mrs Johnstone is a working mother of 5 soon 7 and employs at Mrs Loyns house, Mrs Loyns is a desperate wife that wishes for a child more than anything. Give one to me. Mrs Loyns tells Mrs Johnstone hoping that Mrs Johnstone with the bills and the poor conditions she lives in will agree to her idea.
- Mrs Johnstone is persuaded enough to agree but soon seems to regret her decision when Mrs Loyns fires her and keeps the twin (Edward) going back on her word that Mrs Johnstone could see Edward everyday. - 7 years pass, Mickey and Edward finally meet and realize they were both born on the same day, so they decide to become blood brother, pricking their fingers and rubbing them together. - However their friendship isn't as discreet as Mrs Johnstone finds out that Mickey has met Edward, her son and Mickeys twin. She quickly fixes herself and disapproves of their friendship.
