As you have said earlier sir they fit like a jigsaw puzzle. That is one evidence that Wegener notice in Africa and South America.
Do you know the film squid game? For example a player is playing the honeycomb game wherein then the dalgona breaks.
The pieces that breaks is like the continents of the earth. They fit together like a jigsaw puzzle when we put them altogether.
In the Continental Drift Theory Wegener said that the continents are slowly drifting and before there is supercontinent what we called Pangea .

He also said in his theory that the fossils, animals and rock formations are alike and similar in the different continents.
However, his evidences and discoveries are rejected because he can't explain what causes plates to move so it just remain as a theory.
