- Zane. We live in a world that tells us what to do, how to act, and who we should be. It might be difficult to know how to be true to oneself and live the life one desires. But Zane, if you believe your true calling is music, then go for it! What's there to stop you? Yourself? Don't let your own fear and consciousness be your anchor. Don't waste your potential; rather, embrace it.
- Ms.Khadija was not only my teacher, but also my friend. I had spent a lot of time with her. She always gave me advice and guided me when I felt lost with my music and thoughts.
- After that day, a rush of motivation to create music overwhelmed me. I continued to improve my caft, practicing everday and balancing my passion with my studies. I had also grown a fondness for Egyptain music and art. Ms.Khadija had broadened my views in many things... both morals and art.
- I had thought long and hard that day; trying to understand myself and put effort in my thoughts, just as Ms.Khadija adviced. And after sitting with myself, I had realized I was bothered by the news because I had forgoten about the incident and the entire experience that came along with it.
- One day, Jamila made headlines for a career full of music plagiarism
- The "singer/songwriter" known as Jamila is currently in court for a short lived career of music plagiarism.
- Zane, wake up!
- I remember I didn't feel any sort of happiness when I had woken up to hear the news. If anything, I remember I thought "It was about time she got caught"... but never I was glad she did.
- That Jamila got what she deserved.
- My mother tried to cheer me up and understand why I had no expression of excitement or happiness...but how could she when I didn't even understand myself? I should have been happy Jamilia got caught...I really should have...
- I tried to cheer myself up, infering that remembering certain incidents don't have to be a bad thing. Sometimes,recalling your past mistakes or pains allow you to appreciate the person you are now. It's important to remember to move on ,let go of what one cannot change,and accept the fact that some persons come into our lives to teach us a lesson. Peoples' actions have a ripple affect,so they need to be good in order to reflect positively on them because karma is real.
