- Zero runs away from Camp Green Lake.
- “ but mostly he was angry at himself. What should he do, he thought, was go out after Zero.” He is worried about him so he pictured Zero “crawling across the hot dry dirt” pg 141-146
- Stanley ran away with the truck and in a desperate situation. “He ran. His canteen was strapped around his neck. It banged against his chest as he ran, and every time it hit against him, it reminded him it was empty, empty, empty.” pg 148
- Stanley finds Zero under a boat.
- Stanley breaks the curse by carrying Zero up gods thumb.
- Stanley and Zero go back to Camp Green Lake to dig one more hole.Theme: "Losing a loved one is challenging"
