- What can I do to maintain my cattle healthy?
- Maybe I could cross the healthier ones so that I can get only healthy offsprings

- For DNA recombination, we need first to copy it using a process called PCR
- Then, with these copies, we need to make different combinations to have as a result a transgenic organism
- This makes it possible to change the genetic composition of an organism

- Later, scientist started using plasmids to insert the recombinant DNA into host cells
- This was mainly to avoid the inserted DNA to vanish. They use genetic markers to control this process.
- Transgenic organisms can be produced by the insertion of recombinant DNA into the genome of a host
- Transgenic plants and animals may have some special traits that make them better in most aspects
- Genetic engineering has a lot of applications now a days
- Some examples are genetic modified crops and animals, which often bring more benefits than the normal ones.
- It may also be used in health with gene therapy for treating diseases
