- Scared Hopeful Confused Confident
- Hello my name is Steve Harmon. I am 16 years old
- Steve is on trial for the murder of a man that he didn't kill.
- "I'll call it what the lady prosecutor called me....... MONSTER" (Pg. 5)
- "I thought u were innocent until proven guilty" (Pg. 79)
- Steve feels like they are viewing him as guilty without any real evidence
- "I don't know what he was doing, but i know i wasn't in the drug store" (Pg. 229)
- While being on trail, he was asked about where he was the day the man was murdered in the drug store.
- "A get-over? i don't do get-overs" (pg 271)
- Steve thinks about all that has happened over the past year. he thinks about how if he didn't stay around the drug store he would be fine
- "They have a verdict... No matter what it is we can continue your case. We can appeal." (Pg. 272)
- Steve is found to be not guilty of the charges of murder but O'Brian promises he will appeal and continue the case.
